Hello. I guess I owe an explanation for the one month hiatus.

I don't have one.

But I'm back.

No more nonsense.



This was January...

I have been asking myself, what do I want to photograph?

Well, the answer to that question may change daily, but no matter what I am always photographing my life. This just donned on me the other day when Seamus and I were talking about the idea of anonymous art and wondering whether or not it matters to the viewer if they know anything about the person who made the art. I don't want that to matter in my work. No one needs to know my name. What matters is the second in which I photographed. And that second is gone. But the photograph remains.

When I look back on all the pictures I've taken over the past three years I see a part of a life. I see a story. Of course it is near impossible to detach myself from the pictures... of course I see my own story... and the idea of photographing my story is becoming more exciting. I used to dream of being one of those photographers who ran all over the world making pictures but maybe the pictures I need to make are here with me. Maybe this life is the story I should tell.

Today's Five

Tonight Seamus and I are going to Providence to see Deer Tick. I can't wait.

I have decided to start an Etsy store. I want to sell all sorts of handmade stuff on it, but for now I'm making Kumihimo necklaces. Seamus' mom showed me how to make Kumihimo braids a while ago and I never knew what to do with them. The other night I got the idea to make them into necklaces to sell on Etsy! My store is called BumbleJoy (BumbleJoy.Etsy.com) and it's empty right now, but I'm going to list my necklaces on it later.

We aren't doing much today and I don't feel like taking pictures, so here are the ones I took for the Etsy store. Enjoy!

Alright, today I took about 250 pictures and I haven't had time to go through them all yet.

Oh and I really need to get photoshop, these pictures look gray.

Sorry if these are a little boring. I didn't leave the apartment today.

So, I moved into a different room like a month ago but I never put all my pictures on the wall... until today!

It's funny how this challenge calls for five pictures a day because blogger only lets you upload five pictures at a time.
